Job Description

You will support the Head of National Commercial, Commercial Trading Managers by providing commercial insight and decision support across the Trading teams.

Focused on Pricing and Trading performance, you will measure the achievement of KPIs, call out financial opportunities and. On top of that you will play a key role in maintaining tools to enable faster decision to the Commercial Managers and wider trading team.

 

What you’ll do

  • Ensure relevant information is provided to facilitate supplier Pricing Decision Support
  • Planning on Price Match and B&G Subsidies
  • Weekly Tracking and decision support on COGS increases and Market RRP changes
  • Compile trend analysis and KPI variance on all things pricing
  • Develop and maintain Pricing guiderails (Retailer GP, Metcash GP)
  • When required, partner Trading terms department to audit/back claim missing income.
  • Provide Monthly P&L review with price changes impacts
  • Strategic Analysis and Transformation –Monitor, analyse, and report on the impact of strategic changes as required.
  • Process Improvement – Identify and proactively recommend opportunities for improving all facets of financial performance. Assist in developing tools as required to allow stakeholders to more effectively identify opportunities to optimise financial results

 

What you’ll bring

  • Accounting degree or similar.
  • A solid understanding of the profit drivers and processes across the business.
  • Build partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial modelling and system skills.
  • Broad understanding of category management principles and process including pricing.
  • Ability to translate insights into action plans.
