About the Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented and dynamic communicator? At Metcash, we’re looking for a Retailer Communications Coordinator to help us drive communication excellence and support our independent retailers on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this exciting and fast-paced role, you’ll manage and update the Metcash Retailer website, ensuring consistent, high-quality content that helps our retailers thrive. You’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business, working together to deliver communications that truly make an impact.

In this Role

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including state and national teams, internal departments, and retailers, as well as cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, promotions, merchandise, operations) to ensure effective communication support
  • Manage multiple inboxes by clearing backlogs, assisting internal team members with requests, addressing retailer and operation teams queries, and prioritising action items for timely resolution
  • Plan, produce, and deliver communications to retailers promptly, covering day-to-day management along with weekly, monthly, and ad hoc requests
  • Conduct regular audits of user databases and content to maintain accuracy and ensure all materials remain current
  • Develop and oversee EDM campaigns, providing recommendations to enhance effectiveness and maximise value for retailers

 

You’re Likely a Match If  

  • A degree or practical experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (experience in FMCG is highly regarded)
  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, MailChimp (or similar platforms), and Salesforce is highly desirable
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong editing and copywriting abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy and detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in IT and computer systems, with a strong ability to quickly learn and navigate back-end platforms
