About the Opportunity

As the Social Media Manager, you'll be the voice of IGA across all social platforms, highlighting IGA’s value offer, sharing our unique stories and driving meaningful conversations with our shoppers. Your role involves executing the social strategy, crafting engaging social first content, evolving the community management function, and driving consideration for IGA. You'll foster engagement, share impactful stories, troubleshoot, and provide insightful reporting. With a love of all things social, you'll partner with other business functions and external agencies to build brand love and grow IGA’s social footprint.  

 

In this Role

  • Develop and implement social media strategies across owned channels.
  • Lead the evolution of community management beyond a customer service tool.
  • Create and support in the creation of engaging organic content that helps drive meaningful interactions with our local shoppers and consideration for IGA.
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and challenging posts promptly and in alignment with brand tone.
  • Build relationships with like-minded brands, businesses, content creators, local suppliers, and retailers to help provide value for our local shoppers.
  • Identify trends and partnership opportunities for organic social content.

 

You’re Likely a Match If you have

  • 2-3 years’ experience in social media and community management across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills and the ability to translate these skills into IGA’s unique tone of voice and represent our network of family-owned businesses.
  • Confidence in the use of Social Media management, monitoring, and planning tools, i.e. Falcon, Hootsuite etc.
  • The ability to capture and create engaging, purpose led, channel fit social media content that helps provide value for our social media community and shoppers.
  • Experience leveraging user generated content and working with content creators to drive engagement and consideration.
  • A background in using analytics tools to monitor performance, improve processes and management of social channels.
