At Metcash, you’re part of something bigger. We’ve got the heart of a small business with the strength and support of a big business. When you join Metcash, your work makes a real difference to independent businesses and local communities, empowering you to:

  • Grow your career with tailored development programs
  • Make your mark in a high-performing, values-led team
  • Thrive your way with flexible work options

About the Opportunity

At Metcash, our supply chain keeps independent retailers thriving across Australia — and we’re ready to take it to the next level. We're looking for a visionary Supply Chain Enterprise Architect to shape the systems, technology, and design frameworks that power one of the country’s most dynamic supply chains.

If you’re energised by untangling complexity, influencing enterprise-wide decisions, and building future-ready ecosystems, this is your opportunity to leave a big footprint.

As our Supply Chain Enterprise Architect, you will turn strategy into architecture. You’ll bridge the gap between business ambition and technical capability — ensuring our Warehouse, Transportation, Planning, Forecasting, Yard, and Order Management systems all work seamlessly together.

You’ll guide high-level design, steer our digital transformation roadmap, and architect integrated solutions using modern platforms like D365, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, and more. Your thinking will influence not just what we build — but how our business runs.

In this Role

  • End-to-end Solution Design: Assess the current IT landscape, identify improvement opportunities, and lead architecture design across WMS, TMS, OMS, planning, forecasting, and logistics.
  • Scalable Enterprise Architecture: Design best-practice, future-proof systems and oversee integration across platforms and business units.
  • Technology & Data Integration: Evaluate and implement SCM technologies, ensure seamless integration with ERP/CRM/WMS, and shape enterprise data flows and information architecture.
  • Business Alignment & Roadmapping: Translate business goals into technology strategy, define long-term architecture roadmaps, and communicate complex concepts with clarity.
  • Risk, Governance & Compliance: Embed architectural governance, manage compliance, anticipate risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement & Optimisation: Use analytics and modelling to improve service levels and reduce cost, and lead IT portfolio rationalisation to optimise technology investment.

You’re Likely a Match If

  • Deep expertise in supply chain systems and architecture
  • Strong conceptual design skills with the ability to simplify complexity
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to translate technical design into business language
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience coaching, influencing and building capability
  • Knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF or similar EA frameworks
  • Experience with enterprise governance, standards and blueprint development
  • Degree in Supply Chain, IT, Business, or related discipline
  • Certifications such as CSCP, SCOR-P, or cloud platform credentials
  • Experience in FMCG, UI/UX design, or agile delivery environments
