About the Opportunity 

Exciting new opportunity to join Metcash and be responsible for designing and implementing systems, processes, and technologies to optimise our supply chain. 
This role provides high-level design direction to technology delivery. The key supply chain domains of design / architecture are Warehouse Management, Planning & Forecasting, Yard Management, transportation management and order management.

In this Role 

•    Solution Design: Develop an understanding of existing IT infrastructure and identify improvement areas while creating end-to-end supply chain solutions across inventory, warehouse management, planning, logistics, and transportation.
•    Scalable Systems: Design scalable and efficient systems using industry best practices and modern technologies to enhance supply chain operations.
•    Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate supply chain management software (e.g., Microsoft D365, Manhattan, Blue Yonder) with enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, and WMS for seamless operation.
•    Business Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather supply chain needs and translate business goals into functional and technical requirements to support long-term objectives.
•    Optimization: Use data analytics and modeling tools to optimize supply chain processes, focusing on demand forecasting, cost reduction, and improving service levels.
•    Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure supply chain processes meet regulatory requirements and identify risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
•    Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in supply chain management to enhance solutions and address challenges.
•    Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize existing solutions and processes.

You’re Likely a Match If 

•    Proficiency in supply chain tools, cloud platforms, and system architecture.
•    Experience in leading complex projects and solutions
•    Exceptional analysis skills with the ability to translate business needs into specifications 
•    Strong skills in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
•    Demonstrated experience and understanding of conceptual systems design.
•    Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
•    A degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is highly regarded
•    CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), SCOR-P (Supply Chain Operations Reference Professional), or relevant cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) can be advantageous.
