About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Technical Business Analyst within our Enterprise Data Team (MData). This growing team focuses on enabling and supporting data & insights, analytics and ML/AI across business units.
With the demand for data and insights continuing to grow, we are a looking for an energetic, adaptable Business Analyst who is responsible for promoting and supporting the use of agile frameworks, to successfully deliver new initiatives and enhancements.
You will leverage our BI & Analytics tools to translate business requirements to enable the development and implementation of solutions.
In this Role
- Translate business requirements into viable solutions, participating in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of MData solutions
- Develop business requirements and functional design documents, end user manuals and business glossary
- Develop user stories that balance great user experience with fit for purpose User Interface development
- Regular and effective internal customer engagement to build strong partnerships with stakeholders
- Work with business units, project managers and project teams responsible for IT delivery and services
- Facilitate the engagement between MData Team and end users to provide solutions and associated processes across its Business Pillars by gathering and analysing functional requirements and applying best practices to design solutions.
- Active participation in Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Grooming, Demos/Reviews and Retrospectives.
You’re Likely a Match If
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in Business Analysis, ideally related to BI, Data Warehouse and Analytics solutions
- Prior industry experience within Retail / Manufacturing / Supply Chain / Logistics
- An experienced story teller and designer of effective BI user presentation experiences
- High level organisational skills working in a high-volume environment with ability to prioritise, multi-task and achieve business goals,
- Experience in designing solutions requiring enterprise application integration and data integration
- Experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean
- Experienced storyteller and designer of effective BI user presentation experiences
- Understands the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of Analytics and Statistical tools
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Solid working knowledge of Data Warehouse design concepts (Azure experience is highly regarded)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Knowledge of Testing and quality control
