About the Opportunity  

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Wholesale Coordinator. The role of Wholesale Coordinator will support the Wholesale Manager in all aspects of wholesale by providing administrative support across ranging, product lifecycle, pricing, promotions and supplier management activities.   

 

In this Role You Will 

  • Support the Wholesale manager in delivering on Wholesale sales and income budget and drive improvements in COGS. 

  • Support Wholesale Managers in all aspects of day to day sourcing, pricing, promotion, costing and supplier management activities 

  • Check and via MDG process all relevant paperwork as per required timelines, including promotions, new lines, deletions, supplier changes, price changes, pallet configurations, product amendments 

  • Manage Campbells promotional activity 

  • Analyse and provide insight for sales and income opportunities on suppliers and competitors 

  • Support team score through sourcing and converting business to Metcash universe 

  • Assist all tender processes including management of timelines, substitute lines, sourcing, pricing and engagement with suppliers 

 

You’re Likely a Match If You Have… 

  • Experience in (or a strong understanding) of wholesale and/or FMCG 

  • Using data and analytic skills in Excel, Power BI, CRMs/planning tools, and Circana (or industry similar tool) 

  • Basic negotiation skills working with external stakeholders  

  • Understanding of Wholesale Management and 4P principles.  

  • Basic understanding of category and shopper insights, with ability to  turn these into actionable plans. 

  • Customer focused and collaborative, with demonstrated ability to influence in an internal matrix structure and with external stakeholders  

  • Commercial Acumen with an understanding of how they influence success 

  • Proven record of delivering priorities in a time pressured environment and adapting to change.
