The Role
We are seeking a person to work in our busy Lower Murray Timber site as a Picker/Yard person. This is a full-time position available across Monday to Friday and is available for an immediate start.
The successful candidate will need to be a reliable self-starter with a proven history of steady work. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of physical work and understands the demands of working within the building industry; they must be able to work as part of a small team as well as independantly.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain a safe working environment for all team members, customers, and contractors by actively promoting workplace health and safety
- Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders in a friendly, efficient manner
- Accurately pick customer and delivery orders, ensuring items, quantities, and product specifications are correct
- Prepare picked orders for dispatch, including staging, labelling, and securing loads for delivery trucks
- Operate a forklift to safely pick, move, and load stock as required
- Receive, check, and put away incoming stock, primarily timber and associated building products
- Conduct visual quality checks on picked products and report any damages or discrepancies
- Support the broader team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day warehouse and yard operations

- Availability to work across five days per week
- A current Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
