About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team based in Oakleigh South on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month‑end processes, group reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting, audit activities, and statutory reporting obligations across multiple business units.
In this Role
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end month-end close processes across multiple business units including preparation and review of profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage month-end reporting packs for group reporting, supporting schedules, and financial analysis across multiple business locations.
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including P&L, balance sheet and CAPEX.
- Manage lease accounting activities in accordance with AASB 16, including lease reviews, renewals and lease adjustments.
- Liaise with external auditors as the primary finance contact for interim, half-year, and year-end external audits.
- Prepare and review statutory reporting requirements, including BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other compliance submissions.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties as directed by management within the scope of your skills, training, and experience.
