With trusted brands like Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware, we help local retailers be the best stores in town—literally!
Now, we need a Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team with the Sapphire Group in Pambula, lead the charge in keeping things running smoothly, and deliver exceptional service to our Trade business.
The Mission:
As our Distribution Manager, you’ll oversee the safe and efficient operation of our Trade and Distribution yard, ensuring that our customers get their supplies fast, safe, and right on time. But you won’t be doing it alone—you’ll lead a passionate team that’s dedicated to delivering excellence, growing our customer base, and making every delivery count!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading the Charge: Oversee the safe operation of the Trade and Distribution yard, making sure we meet all safety regulations and company policies.
On the Dot: Lead the picking, packing, and loading of orders to meet our DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) targets. Every order delivered right on time = a happy customer!
Fleet Management: Take the wheel on managing our heavy vehicle and forklift fleet, keeping everything running smoothly, ensuring continuous operations, and tackling any hiccups along the way.
Building Relationships: Develop strong, lasting relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring everyone gets the timely service they need. You’ll be the face of our commitment to excellent service!
Problem Solver: Handle customer queries and complaints with urgency, working quickly to achieve positive outcomes that keep our customers coming back for more.
What You’ll Bring:
Skills to Pay the Bills:
• Intermediate planning and organisational skills
• Complex problem-solving expertise
• A forklift licence (and ideally, heavy vehicle licence)
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude—no challenge is too big!
• A working knowledge of transport legislation and regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
Team Spirit:
• Be an inspirational leader who motivates the team to get things done
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and your own team
• Provide support and development to your team members
