About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Pooraka on a part-time basis (25 hours per week).

This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility, with hours that may suit school schedules (9:00am–3:00pm), and alternative start times available between 7:00am–3:00pm.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring invoices are accurately processed, supplier queries are resolved efficiently, and system data is kept up to date. You will support both the Buying and Receiving teams, ensuring correct pricing, stock alignment, and financial accuracy.

 

In this Role

  • Match invoices to purchase orders (POs)
  • Raise credits with suppliers for pricing discrepancies
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices and manage supplier queries
  • Process and scan invoices into Accounts Payable for payment
  • Ensure same-day processing of invoices to maintain accurate records
  • Support Buying and Receiving teams with pricing and stock information
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers

 

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage high volumes and meet same-day processing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with suppliers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies
  • Good systems skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
