Senior Product Manager Tools (Powered)
Date: 29 May 2026
Location: Port Melbourne, VIC
Company: Metcash
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager – Tools (Powered) to take ownership of one of our most exciting private label categories.
This is a role for someone who likes being close to the product, shaping what’s in the range, working with suppliers, and seeing ideas turn into tools that land in stores across Australia. You’ll have real ownership, real influence, and the space to make commercial decisions that matter.
You’ll work with teams across Merchandise, Design, Marketing, Supply Chain and Quality, balancing big‑picture category thinking with the practical detail needed to get products right. If you enjoy variety, accountability and seeing the results of your work in market, this role will keep you engaged.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the powered tools portfolio from early ideas through to launch and ongoing performance
- Spotting gaps, trends and opportunities that help shape the category roadmap
- Managing pricing, margins and forecasts to keep the range commercially strong
- Working directly with suppliers to develop, refine and negotiate product solutions
- Partnering with Marketing and Design on packaging, launches and how products show up in store
- Working closely with Supply Chain on forecasting, stock flow and sell‑through
- Reviewing performance data and store feedback to improve products over time
- Supporting and guiding junior team members as the category grows
You’re likely a match if you have
- Solid experience in product management or category roles within retail or consumer goods
- Confidence owning products end‑to‑end, not just supporting pieces of the process
- Strong commercial judgement and hands‑on experience with pricing and margins
- Experience working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- A practical mindset. You like ideas, but you also like making them happen
- The ability to balance strategy with detail in a fast‑moving environment
- A genuine interest in building products customers actually want to buy
