  Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for quality meat products and a proven ability to build strong customer relationships? We are seeking an experienced Account Manager – Meat Sales to join our growing team based in Reservoir.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to represent a highly respected and well-established business that is recognised as a market leader within the industry. You will play a key role in managing existing accounts, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term partnerships across the food service sector.

 

A proven background as an Account Manager in the meat industry is a mandatory requirement for this position. Due to the specialized nature of the role, only candidates with direct meat industry account management experience will be shortlisted.

 

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of customers while identifying new business opportunities across restaurants, wholesalers, sporting venues, stadiums, and other food service channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and grow a portfolio of food service customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venue managers, chefs, butchers, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Promote and sell a diverse range of premium meat products, providing exceptional product knowledge and customer service.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food service and wholesale sectors.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers, providing ongoing support and solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging customer needs.
  • Review sales performance and KPIs with management on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, operations, administration, and senior management to ensure seamless customer service and order fulfilment.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and business development plans.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.

 

 What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Available to commence in August 2026.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in food service sales within the meat industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of meat products, cuts, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts and develop long-term customer partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 15kg when required.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Existing industry relationships within hospitality, food service, wholesale, or retail meat sectors.
  • Passion for premium food products and delivering exceptional customer service.
