Harding’s Hardware is currently seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual to join the team as a Purchasing Officer operating out of our Reservoir Support Office. This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with a strong attention to detail ability to work within a team environment and a focus on continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

• Procurement of stock. 
• Stock control.
• Liaising with suppliers via phone and email.
• Assisting with the return of credits to suppliers.
• Assisting with all aspects of stocktakes.
• Ability to identify changing trends and stock requirements of our clients.
• General office duties
• Any other duties specified by your manager or supervisor

 What you will bring

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to work unsupervised
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Previous purchasing experience
• Ability to work within the constraints of a purchasing budget
• Previous experience in a trade environment and associated products (beneficial but not essential)
• Commitment to continuous improvement
