Trade Yard Sales Support (FT)

About the role:

Do you enjoy a balance of office work and hands-on operations, servicing customers face to face?

Our Becks Mitre10 Group in Smithton, TAS is on the lookout for a reliable and flexible team player to join us as a Trade Sales Support on a full-time basis.

This role operates a 38-hour roster across Monday to Sunday. You’ll be supporting the Trade Manager with a variety of tasks, from responding to phone enquiries, organising deliveries, processing customer orders, and preparing quotes, to hands-on yard work. This includes picking and packing orders, serving customers, loading trucks (some heavy lifting required) and keeping the yard clean and well organised.

What you will be doing:

• Responding to customer enquiries and taking special orders
• Preparing accurate quotes and organising delivery schedules
• Providing exceptional service at the trade counter and in the yard
• Loading and unloading trucks with timber and building materials (heavy lifting required)
• Picking and packing orders for timely delivery
• Assisting tradies or our DIY customers in the yard to ensure fast and efficient service
• Replenishing stock and maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

What you will bring:

• A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
• A current forklift licence is a big plus (but not essential)
• Timber and hardware knowledge is handy but we are happy to train the right person
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a sense of urgency
• Availability to work across a flexible Monday to Sunday roster
