The Role
An exciting full-time opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our K&B Murray Bridge team. Working Monday to Friday, this role offers an immediate start and combines front counter sales with customer account management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships while delivering outstanding service.
Reporting to the Site Manager and Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our retail and trade customers through face-to-face interactions, phone enquiries and email communications. You'll assist customers with product enquiries and sales, including shed and steel products, while providing exceptional service and contributing to the ongoing growth of the business.
This position offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with customers in the building and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service across front counter, phone and email enquiries.
- Assist customers with product selection and sales, including shed and steel products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts.
- Prepare quotations, tenders and sales documentation.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate stock enquiries and support day-to-day office administration.
- Achieve agreed sales targets while identifying opportunities to grow customer accounts.
- Stay informed of industry trends and product knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
About You
You are a motivated, reliable and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and take pride in delivering exceptional service.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Previous experience in front counter, retail or trade sales.
- Experience in customer account management or business development (desirable).
- Exposure to timber, steel, hardware or building supplies (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
- A high level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
