We’re on the lookout for a high-energy Trade Account Manager who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning leads into long-term partnerships.

This isn’t a “manage an existing book” type of role - it’s about creating something from the ground up. You’ll be out in the market, connecting with builders and tradies, uncovering new business, and cementing Hudson’s Mitre 10 as a go-to trade partner.

With continued investment in our trade offering, there’s never been a better time to join the business and make your mark. Based out of St Mary’s, your focus will be growing our footprint across the Western Suburbs area, driving new business and strengthening our presence in market.

 


 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days look the same. You’ll be:

 

  • Building strong, credible relationships with builders, contractors and trade professionals
  • Identifying gaps in the market and actively pursuing new business opportunities
  • Growing your territory from the ground up - converting prospects into loyal customers
  • Promoting our range of timber and hardware solutions, tailored to customer needs
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial conversation through to close
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Keeping a pulse on competitor activity, pricing and market trends
  • Preparing quotes, proposals and presentations that win business
  • Tracking performance, forecasting, and sharing insights with leadership

 


 

What You’ll Bring

 

You’re someone who’s naturally curious, commercially minded, and loves being out on the road building connections.

 

You’ll also bring:

 

  • Experience in trade sales (timber, hardware, building materials or similar highly regarded)
  • A genuine ability to win new business and grow a customer base from scratch
  • Strong relationship-building skills - you’re someone people trust and want to work with
  • Confidence in influencing, negotiating and closing deals
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a strong results focus
  • The ability to quickly build product knowledge and credibility in the market
  • Comfort using CRM systems to manage pipeline and track activity
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across your territory
