About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Store Operations Manager - Geelong. The role is accountable for the safe and efficient running of the day-to-day operations of the floor, working closely with their team and ensuring that customers are serviced through the correct dispatch of products, and/or through support at the front end of the store.  The Store Operations Manager will take an active lead in recruiting and training team members, ensuring the safe operation of the store and ensuring effective and efficient communication to the customer and the team.

In this Role

• Continually monitor and evaluate SHE risks, and the controls implemented for the management of those risks
• Ensure the timely reporting, escalation and investigation of SHE hazards and incidents.
• Ensure the effective communication, consultation and engagement with team members with regard to Safety Health and Environment.
• Develop relationships with customer and suppliers to provide exceptional service
• Manage and address all safety performance, safety compliance and injury management issues within the team.

You’re Likely a Match If

• Understanding of supply chain trends and practice.
• Understanding of Metcash safety policies; chain of responsibility for safety related incidents; OHS/WC/COR and HACCP safety compliance and injury management.
• Interpreting reports and delivering them to your team in an easily understandable manner.
• Experience dealing with conflict and/or having difficult conversations; customer resolution experience.
