About the Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for identifying new business opportunities? Are you driven by the challenge of expanding market share and building long-term partnerships? As our Trade Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving the expansion of our trade division by cultivating relationships, generating new business, and fostering growth within the South Eastern/Eastern Suburbs and beyond.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, identifying new opportunities, securing partnerships, and creating tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. Your success will directly contribute to the long-term success of the business and the achievement of sales and profitability targets.

Let’s talk about you

  • Lead the development and execution of growth strategies to expand our trade client base, focusing on builders, contractors, and construction professionals.

  • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the primary point of contact for major trade accounts.

  • Promote Tait Mitre 10’s extensive range of timber and hardware products, tailoring solutions that align with customers’ specific needs.

  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within your territory, expanding the company’s reach and influence in key markets.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the trade division.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to prospective clients and senior management.

You are likely to be a match if you have:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the timber and hardware industry.

  • A successful track record of driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close high-value deals.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and overcoming challenges.

  • Familiarity with CRM software and other business development tools.

  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
