About the Opportunity

We are seeking State Buyer to join our Merchandise team in Truganina, VIC on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the State Fresh Manager, you will take ownership of the promotional cycle while supporting the broader Buying team through supplier engagement, promotional planning, reporting, and administration activities that help drive sales and category performance.

In this Role 

• Managing the end-to-end promotional cycle
• Coordinating weekly promotional planning and forecasting
• Supporting retailer and supplier engagement activities
• Maintaining accurate promotional, sales and supplier reporting
• Managing Turn-In Order processes across different categories
• Providing administrative support to the Buying team
• Supporting catalogue execution, pricing accuracy and store communications
• Analysing sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve results
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting team initiatives and business priorities as required

What are we looking for? 

• Previous Deli /Bakery / Fresh / Ready Meals category experience within retail, wholesale or supplier environments
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and relationship-building capabilities
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
