About the Opportunity -
The role of a On Premise Supplier Partnership Manager will be the primary contact for all national suppliers developing strong & mutually profitable partnerships. This position manages the supplier relationship & is responsible for generating intimate knowledge and revenue creation through joint business planning that bridges the gap in bringing brands to life through the ALM vast network of customers.
The successful candidate will be commercially savvy, have a demonstrated track record of generating and moving ideas into action, and have an insatiable curiosity for all things on premise.
The role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
In this Role
- Develop and manage supplier strategies including a transparent national pricing structure and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to category and business goals.
- Drive category growth by collaborating with top suppliers to implement short, mid and long-term strategies that deliver mutual sales and income growth.
- Leverage insights from consumers, competitors, and suppliers to build relevant ranges for the On-Premise channel and secure improved trading terms and marketing investment.
- Maximise commercial outcomes by negotiating additional income opportunities, managing promotional activity, and achieving budget targets for co-op, rebates, and promotional income.
- Foster cross-functional alignment to embed the On-Premise strategy across ALM functions, ensuring coordinated execution and support across credit, customer service, transport and finance
- Consider local to identify appropriate state-based ranging & promotional opportunities consistent with the national On-Premise strategies
- Develop new revenue streams for ALM within the on premise channel
You’re Likely a Match If
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in buying and category management, either in-house or externally
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on securing new business opportunities
- A natural problem-solver with an insatiable curiosity to find effective solutions
- Tertiary qualifications preferred
