We’re looking for a Transport Manager to join our team and ensure our transport operations run smoothly, safely, and on time—every time!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the Way: Manage the day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely, full, and safe deliveries.
• Safety First: Keep our operations running smoothly while adhering to Metcash SHE systems and ensuring safety responsibilities are met.
• Training & Compliance: Keep your team sharp by ensuring up-to-date training and strict adherence to the Chain of Responsibility.
• Paperwork Pro: Oversee vehicle checks, incident and hazard reports, and ensure everything is shipshape.
• Team Development: Lead, motivate, and ensure your team hits key performance indicators (KPIs) with precision and enthusiasm.
• Fleet Maintenance: Keep our vehicles running in top condition with regular services and maintenance.
• Customer Relations: Build strong, lasting relationships with our customers by ensuring top-notch service and resolving any transportation issues.
• Proactive Problem Solver: Investigate any DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) challenges and develop action plans for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Clear Communication: You can speak and write with precision, ensuring your team is always on the same page.
• Proactive Problem Solver: You love using your initiative to get things done efficiently, and you thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Fleet Management: You have experience overseeing vehicle maintenance, repairs, and compliance, ensuring the fleet is safe and reliable.
• Leadership Skills: You know how to supervise and inspire a team to work together efficiently and provide exceptional service.
• Technical Skills: You’re familiar with transportation management software, KPIs, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
• Customer Focus: You’ll go above and beyond to address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction.

What You’ll Need:

Qualifications & Experience:
• 2+ years in transportation management or a similar role.
• Forklift & truck license (desirable, but not a dealbreaker!).
• Previous experience with POS systems? Huge bonus!
• Solid understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
