Frame & Truss Detailer - Zillmere - Finlayson's

About the role

A great opportunity has arisen in our network for an experienced Timber Frame & Truss Detailer to join the Finlayson’s network located at our Zillmere site. This role is critical in ensuring the quoting, design and detailing of timber roof trusses and frames for projects are exact. This is a Full-Time Monday to Friday role based on-site 4 days, 1 day working from home 

What you will be doing

• Read & review plans to calculate costings on residential & commercial roof truss, wall frame and floor systems
• Prepare & develop frame and truss designs to the point of manufacture
• Ensure work complies with relevant standards and Codes of Practice
• Work collaboratively with the Production team to ensure projects are delivered in full on time
• Communicating with builders/customers during all stages of planning and construction
• Where required, provide site inspections relating directly to our supply of frames, truss and materials to clients

What you will bring to the role

• Understand and be able to read and interpret architectural/ engineering plans
• Experience using Multinail software or similar detailing software
• Ability to create and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
