About the Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up Distribution Centre Supervisor (Night Shift) based in Berrinba – someone who’s ready to keep the gears turning smoothly and lead from the front.
In this role, you’ll provide clear direction and help build the capability of your warehouse team to consistently meet high operational standards. Ideally, you bring strong inventory management skills and are a natural leader who thrives on building a positive, engaged team culture.
Above all, you’re self-motivated and flexible working night shift starting from 8pm to 5am. With a compressed 4-day work week (Sunday 8pm start and finishing on Thursday at 5am), you’ll enjoy a long weekend every week. What’s not to love?
What you’ll be doing
- Lead by example – be hands-on with your team, setting the standard what is expected across the DC on any shift
- Keep our people safe – coach your team on safety standards, conduct SOTs, Hazards, ATRs, and maintain compliance with OHS/WC/COR policies
- Control the chaos – manage all workflow, resources, rosters, labour hours, performance targets and behaviour.
- Inventory Focus – actions inventory management that is leading to issues with DIFOT for customers or operational efficiency.
- Deliver results – hit KPIs as agreed, manage costs and ensure SOPs are being adhere to costs without compromising safety or quality.
- Uplift your team – oversee training, assessments, upskilling, and regular coaching.
- Be the backbone of operations – open and close the site when required, cover others when they are not available, maintain top-tier housekeeping, and escalate issues until they’re sorted.
- Champion continuous improvement – streamline processes, think ahead, and adapt on the fly.
- Drive engagement – lead communication, foster a strong culture, and make your team feel like legends.
You’re likely a match if you have
- Similar experience in a DC or warehouse leadership role that is process minded.
- A cool head and confident voice in tough conversations.
- Solid people leadership and the ability to engage your team through change.
- Microsoft know-how (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
- Safety-first mindset (OHS, COR, First Aid – you know the drill).
- A natural problem solver who stays calm under pressure and is ready to think on their feet.
