About the Opportunity 
At Tools & Hardware Group, we have a clear ambition to be the ‘Best Store in Town’—and a critical part of bringing this to life is building high-performing, customer-focused teams across our Retail and Distribution Centre network. 

We are continuing to strengthen our capability across our Tools and Mitre 10 networks, while also bringing recruitment for our Distribution Centre (DC) sites in-house. This role will play a key part in making that happen. 

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be responsible for building and embedding a consistent, scalable approach to recruiting Retail and DC talent. You’ll take ownership of attracting and hiring the right people, helping to lay the foundations for how we source, assess and bring great talent into the business. 

Working closely with leaders across Tools, Mitre 10 and our DC network, you will partner to uplift hiring capability, provide market insight, and ensure we are bringing in the right talent to deliver on our ambition. 

 

In this Role 

  • Managing full life cycle recruitment across a portfolio of Retail roles, including job briefing, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management and onboarding 

  • Partnering closely with hiring managers to deliver a consistent, fair and effective recruitment process, providing expert guidance on sourcing, assessment and selection strategies 

  • Building and maintaining strong talent pipelines, particularly within the Retail market 

  • Providing market insights and advice to support informed hiring decisions and workforce planning 

  • Championing a positive and engaging candidate experience through timely communication and professionalism 

  • Leveraging systems and technology to deliver efficient and streamlined recruitment processes 

  • Supporting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives and embedding inclusive hiring practices 

  • Contributing to TA optimisation initiatives, process improvements and wider People & Culture projects 

  • Providing support to the broader TA team during peak periods and leave coverage 

 

What are we looking for?  

• Strong experience in end-to-end Talent Acquisition, either in-house or agency 
• Proven experience recruiting within Retail (essential), with the ability to build talent pipelines in this market 
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships 
• Experience using ATS platforms (SuccessFactors preferred) and Microsoft applications 
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance speed, quality and candidate experience 
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities 
• High level communication skills, with a professional and engaging approach 
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information 

 

Experience that will set you apart 

• Experience supporting high-volume or multi-site Retail hiring 
• Ability to proactively source and engage passive candidates 
• Strong track record of delivering against hiring targets and timelines 
• Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
