Your Role with Metcash
• Support Group planning, forecasting and performance reporting across the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Develop robust three-way financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis and investment decisions.
• Analyse working capital, liquidity and net debt drivers to improve cash generation and balance sheet performance.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations for Executive, Board and Investment Committee reporting.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, business cases and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Total Tools Hardware Group and corporate leaders to drive commercial outcomes and informed decision-making.
• Lead continuous improvement across FP&A processes, systems and reporting.
• Support strategic projects including M&A, due diligence and business transformation initiatives.
What You'll Bring
• CA or CPA qualification with extensive experience across FP&A, corporate finance, financial accounting and management reporting.
• Strong accounting foundations and a deep understanding of how the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow interact to drive business performance.
• Advanced three-way financial modelling skills, including forecasting, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Demonstrated experience analysing working capital, cash conversion, liquidity and net debt performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, compelling and data-driven recommendations.
• Experience evaluating capital allocation decisions, investment opportunities and business cases.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience in TM1 and Power BI highly regarded.
